If you can't beat them...

Cowslip ( Primula veris )

We should have had guests leaving the Lodge today and nobody in until Saturday.  So we didn't go until after lunch.  As we walked in Clickychick joked "nobody's been" meaning the place was so neat and tidy it looked as if nothing had been touched.  Going into the bedrooms we realised she was correct nobody had visited.  Check the booking!  Yes booked from Friday until today by a single male.  What went wrong we don't know.

So I took a few shots for blips.  Most were of things beginning to show in the "meadow".  I settled on this Cowslip, they are doing well and among the earliest in the "meadow" to show.  Cowslips are widespread in England and Wales.  In Scotland they aren't common being mostly on the east around the Lothians and Fife.

Home and a bit of pruning (hacking back) of an over large Box bush.
