Vintage

I understand the word vintage can be something old as well as a description of some wines. I found this book on the shelf: a first edition from 1948. It’s like three books in one, each talking about a character who was on a path to Valhalla. Thanks to DonMac21 for taking on hosting duties for the first time and setting some great themes.

I’m several days behind in posting. Just couldn’t get myself onto the computer. I will try to make up for that in the future. Today I hustled out of the house, even before having coffee, to the Photography Club for the two groups I attend. It was only after I got there that I realized that today was Monday and not Tuesday, which is when they are held. I felt especially dumb because the club monitor today knows me. The good news is that all of my photos are now in order so I won’t have to rush tomorrow.

Dentist: I have to pull the aching tooth, but don’t worry it will take just five minutes.
Patient: And how much will it cost?
Dentist: It’s $90.00.
Patient: $90.00 for just a few minutes work???
Dentist: I can extract it very slowly if you like?
