Oh, Tain
It was an early start to get back to Edinburgh. A very smooth journey, with no delays at the Edinburgh end, despite our fears, probably owing to it being a bank holiday (not for me). I popped out in the front and side gardens to get a blip, before we left. It was cold, but a pleasant morning light. Good to memorialise what it's like a week or so into May. Will revisit the various stages of the garden as the summer goes on.
Back in the southern branch office, I sat for a while enjoying a cup of tea and the sunlight in the flat before cycling up to town for a meeting with CB, who is moving to the next phase. Other meetings, mainly for the RSE, followed on. Home at a reasonable time. It is tough to leave the north, but at least we have beautiful light in the flat in Edinburgh. The weather seems set fair for another wee while, and although it is still pretty cold, it's due to get a bit warmer.
