Spring cleaning

I am so happy to be home! It was wonderful to see my family but I don’t like to be away from here during the Spring and Summer months (or the Autumn and Winter, to be honest). The photo is the beautiful oak tree at the end of the garden - the bluebells are coming out beneath it.

The overnight coach was full and I had made a mistake with the booking - I had intended to get a direct one to Glasgow but instead it stopped at Birmingham, Manchester and two service stations. I am very good at putting on my eye masks and Loops and retreating somewhere deep inside myself for a kind of sleep. We were at Buchanan St for 6.15 and I was on the train to Dumfries just after 7pm, and home via Lidl at 10.

When he left at noon, I threw open all the doors to let air in, and did some spring cleaning. Then I did some gardening. Now Merry is getting very impatient for her tea, so time to go inside. If I sit down, I shall probably fall asleep :-)
