An ordinary life....

Plate of yum...

I didn't sleep well.  Woke just after 3am and was still awake at 7am.  Nothing wrong, just wide awake.  I enjoyed listening to the dawn chorus.

D's alarm went off at 7.15am, just as I was attempting to get back to sleep.  I decided to try and snooze till D was out of the shower, then get up.  Well snooze I did and the next time I opened my eyes it was almost 11am!

Showered, dressed and downstairs in time for lunch.  Go me!  :-))  Finished off lunch with a bowl of chopped apple, pomegranate seeds and Greek yogurt.  It was delicious.

D walked Lola, I pottered about, then went back upstairs just after 4pm to get ready for Ele and Kenny arriving at 5pm.  Saw them on Easter Sunday with the rest of the family but not really had the chance to catch up properly since they returned from Spain, so was really looking forward to catching up.

We had a table booked for dinner at the golf club at 6.30pm so headed over just before 6pm to have a pre-dinner drink.

We had an absolutely brilliant evening.  Excellent service and food and a lovely relaxed atmosphere. They've been busy helping our niece Jen (their daughter) get her flat decorated in preparation for moving in.  They've also just taken down the wall in their house that separated the kitchen and dining room, so they now have a lovely open space, which will be much more functional than the original configuration. I'm looking forward to seeing it.

Got back to ours just after 9pm for more chat and coffee and some of Gloagburn's Millionaire's Shortbread.  Rock n roll Saturday night :-)

They didn't stay over as Kenny was heading to Jen's flat early in the morning to hopefully finish the last of the painting.  Looking forward to seeing her decorated and furnished flat too.
