We're a step back to
winter with a cold wind and
some rain showers too

I was on my way to the downtown at 6:30. The weather did not look promising at all. I thought I'd limit myself to two stops - St. Andrew's in the Square and the east end of Riverside Park.

The lovely old church is locked up tight these days. I could poke my camera through the rails to get a shot of the grounds and the building. Then, I zoomed in on the statue of our former mayor pointing to the city. Certainly, the square is better protected with the fencing, but it is not as accessible for me.

I drove on to Riverside Park for a look to the railway bridge, my mountains and a panorama of the confluence of our two Thompson Rivers.

I spotted a bird poised under the railway bridge. I'm guessing it is a cormorant which is a summer resident here and one we don't see here often.

I walked a short distance on the Rivers Trail to get my panorama. There was a nasty, cold wind out of the west that cut through my hoodie, so I made it a very quick jaunt this morning.

I'm going to enjoy my day with some quilting and sewing ideas.
