The Drawing Room..

A quiet corner by the window of this lovely room at Standen National Trust property today. A nice little retreat away from the conversation and distraction going on in the rest of the room. Maybe. I liked it.

It’s been another of the days we’ve had recently. Wonderful! Big Sis hadn’t been here before and loved it. For us, we saw the property very differently presented to our previous visits at Christmas and it was a new experience.

We took picnic lunches and ate in the glorious sunshine. The conservatory would have been ideal but possibly not allowed. My extra.

Big Sis and I thoroughly enjoyed an exhibition of beautiful quilting and machine embroidery. I was delighted to meet Wendy Dolan a friend of a friend, ‘Blast’ here on Blip. Two very talented ladies.

A super day out and no motorways involved.
