Holiday Club day one

The children seemed to have a great time this morning and had great fun jumping up saying "Down with Nero!" every time his name was mentioned! The theme is about Christians living in Rome at the time of Nero, and a baker who is a sort of leader and who looks after children who have been orphaned in all the troubles. We have DVD's to show each morning and the kids do craft and games as well. The weather was grey, but not raining, so outdoor games could go ahead and seemed to go well. We had 32 children come along today and you can see the backs of some of them in the photo and hubby leading proceedings in the centre!
