Today, we said goodbye to Bron Madog and made our way, slowly, to Congleton, where Julian is from. We had to stop twice because Lucie was feeling rather rough. 
The first stop was the funeral directors, to collect Julian's mum's ashes (in a scatter tube) and to hand over his dad's ashes to be transferred into another tube. We had an excellent lunch while this was being done, then drove to Cranage where we are spending the next two nights. 
We had our evening meal in a pub in Holmes Chapel - I realised that I hadn't taken any photo all day...
