Gently down the stream

Hot

It seems, thank to the buses, I'm unlikely to get up to the Magdalen Hill Butterfly Reserve until the end of the coming week.  A couple of years ago I'd have simply walked, but right now I'm too busy and too tired, so I will just have to be patient instead.  This morning, though, I had a hot walk into town through the Winnall Moors Reserve, rather too late to catch the early birds, but beautiful all the same.  My blip shows how much the water level has dropped in the last week or so, which is prodding me to go and water the garden.  The other big story of my walk there today was the amount of sallow seeds blowing about in the air and snowing down onto the reedbeds.  There was about two cms piling up on the paths and it was hard not to breathe any in!  I've put a shot of the seeds into extras.

That's me for today.  Happy Friday night and have a good weekend  xx
