Early Purple Orchid

The ground was absolutely sodden this morning, the result of an enormous  storm in the night.  The thunder was so loud and the lightning so glaring people from Winchester to Basingstoke were leaping from their beds in terror - except for me.  I slept through the lot!

However, I did have a lovely walk in the hills this morning, which is where I found this (and other) early purple orchids  Wonderful!  I've also had a blood test up at the hospital and coffee plus a long natter with Little Sis.  Altogether a good day.  I didn't go near a polling booth, though.  Postal votes are wonderful things  The results will be interesting..

In a minute I shall post the results below of WFW24_04.  I will just say now, though, you are getting much too good at finding and blipping wildflowers.  It was very hard to choose.  Oh, and also, if any of you would like a turn (week/month) at hosting, please do let me know.
