A glimpse of Gloucestershire
I've driven to Cheltenham today with my daughter. We're here for the Jazz Festival. We first attended last year when we couldn't get Glastonbury tickets and we've lost out on Glasto again this year. So Cheltenham has become our Glasto default. There's another good line-up this year. We're kicking off with Corinne Bailey Rae, backed by the Ronnie Scott's Jazz Orchestra tomorrow afternoon, with lots more to follow. It's also a chance to meet up with former colleagues and friends, starting with lunch tomorrow with someone I've known since we worked together at the Brook Hospital, Woolwich in the early '80s. Today's photo was taken from the garden of The Golden Hart in Birdlip, on the outskirts of Cheltenham, when we stopped for a shandy and stretch.
