Rumble in the jungle
I know it's supposed to be no-labour day today, but here's S doing some light "gardening". We had lunch in the garden again today. One big advantage of this bosky little dell is that it's completely sheltered from the wind that was shaking the tops of the tallest trees. Despite the sky gradually clouding over, it was very pleasant lounging in the shade afterwards. Birds were twittering madly, and the Merlin app identified six different ones, including the usual chaffinches, blackcaps, serins, and nightingales, but also bee-eaters. We did hear a call that made the last plausible, so maybe they are arriving from their migration. We made a plan to go and check out the nesting site. We also saw a buzzard passing silently overhead.
In the evening I picked T up and we went to yoga. She hasn't been for six months, and I reassured her that Eric had been very chilled lately, and it would be easy. Reader, it wasn't. To add to T's difficulties, she hasn't spoken French for six months and she kept forgetting the words for body parts, which didn't help. We felt well stretched when we left!
