Tin Tabernacles of 2025 #2
Packed up the tiny cabin this morning then set off for coffee in Portree. A short walk, a bit of shopping and we were on our way to Uig. A minor detour to Flashader allowed me to photograph the disused and derelict Free Church. It's a lovely tin church with a slate roof but as you can see it looks on its last legs. I'm glad to have it recorded.
We are now in the queue for the ferry to Lochmaddy. Once we get to North Uist we have about a half hour drive to our destination. Our friends should be there before us to get the place cosy.
The heatwave has gone. The temperature is much more what you'd expect but there's no rain which is always a bonus.
The extra is a guineafowl, one of three wandering about in Uig.
