Again and Again

Frosting

I woke up too early. Not sure if it was bird 'noise' (i am struggling to call it song), my bladder or something else that woke me.  It was the noise and a busy mind that prevented me getting back back to sleep.

Walking and pondering whether I would be setting myself up to fail if I stuck with my plan to fast as there was a yearning for food from somewhere inside me, I decided to stick with it as, on paper it had been the best day 2 for this week and I had tomorrow as a back up plan if I had changed my mind by lunchtime.  I found joy in the green hedgerows, stood and watched a muscovoy duck interacting with two mallards and noticed again how the fallen willow fuzz created a frosting underfoot.

More pleasing moments from the day came from seeing an elderly couple heading towards a roundabout being spun by 3 girls in their school uniforms,  an update from my manager that shines more light in our tunnel, a lunchtime walk to the prom that included a road decorated for a street party at the weekend and looking at 2 beautiful red and white flowers on an amaryllis at home. Mr RIU hung up on me during a call at lunchtime.  I have been reading Mel Robbins 'let them' and chose not to react.

I enjoyed salad with a small piece of shop brought quiche (because MrRIU was having it and to avoid any cooking) for my dinner and went to bed with my 2nd 500 calorie day of the week ticked
