Garden excavations

This is today's broken-glass : broken-slate : rusty-nail : bindweed-root ratio. The ratio and the quantities vary day by day (though the number of feet involved is constant) but it feels as if I am winning more against the bindweed than the nails and glass, which is odd, since as far as I'm aware they do not reproduce and bindweed does.
