Water avens
These moisture-loving flowers are favourites of mine and have been ever since I learnt about them in nature classes in primary school. I am now fortunate to have them growing in a boggy area of ground beside the stream that flows through our garden.
Another morning with coffee, this time with friends C and J who are going to organise our DIY services at church while I am on holiday for most of May. It’s wonderful how our wee church has flourished during the past few years in the times when we have been without a minister. Initially I had to twist folk’s arms to do a reading or a prayer, now everyone will take a turn doing something, even a reflection, and they enjoy doing it.
While Nick was over at the Community Orchard making progress with the Hobbit house construction, I spent much of the afternoon packing the motorhome ready for our trip away.
