A road trip on a 
day of light rain-- with some quilt
fabric and much more

I waited to run some errands after 9 this morning, then I was off on my way to Armstrong. The asparagus farm is open and so is the quilt store! 

My first stop was Monte Lake looking south. There were some fishermen making the most of the morning there. 

I zoomed past Westwold and Falkland, then made the turn on Salmon River Road, my favourite route. 

The asparagus farm has a new name and some additional locations in the area. I picked up two 5 pound bags. The asparagus is so fresh and I will share it with friends. 

I could not leave the area without popping into the quilt store. I was looking for a background and some blues. I was quite happy with my finds today. I had lunch in Armstrong then headed for home.

I took the same route home and stopped for a couple of shots of the landscape. Rain showers were off and on throughout the day. 

I was home about 3 PM and feeling rather beat. It will be feet up and an early night.
