Earthshine

I went later to the pool, on the bike, which is making a funny noise at the back wheel. Should have done a wee bit servicing before I started using it. 

Good swim and then after breakfast I went to the garden. It be was getting warm. Sorted the lights, putting the new string ones on the wall, moving the white lights to the stand and the bees to the west fence. The gardening was disturbed by a call to tell me that the washing machine at the Manor was leaving. Organised an engineer fitter tomorrow. B There was a call to J too, to discuss options. 

Then I teased out the mint and got rid of the moss etc which be I think has been stinging it. Finally, down on my hands and knees tidying the lawn edges. It was hot! After if finished there was an odd phone call from C, flat owner. Thinks she's back tracking on what she said to #3 son 

The main event this afternoon was a farewell to K, who's going home to Italy tomorrow, sat in the garden with fizz, pousse rapiere and far too much food. Y started on a bit after K left. It was a beautiful afternoon, well chosen. 

After Y left I got the bike round and cleaned and pulled the chain and the other bits that may be causing them nose. Pumped up the tyres, well a tyre. 

Sat in the back for a bit, sewing and then went inside to eat, sew and watch nonsense TV. Forgot WDYTYA was on. I'll catch up later. 

Took some photos of the lights and then looked west and saw the slender moon and Jupiter. You could see the moonshine. It was beautiful.
