Mono Feather

A glorious day today in what promises to be a glorious and hot week - so weird for late April. After doing some washing and hanging it out, I had a nice long catch up with my sister A. Then I washed all the bird baths, bird feeders, the two feeding stations and squirrel baffles so they're clean with all the baby birds being fed soon. This afternoon I sat out in the garden, reading the paper and listening to an audiobook. Looking for a blip, I spotted this feather in a hedge amongst the leaves. When the heat started going over, I watered the beds around the back garden - I still can't believe we've only had about 20mm of rain in nearly two months!
