Filigree leaves
That first word caused me to look into my dictionary. I knew what it meant but not the right spelling.
The leaves and branches are ‚Kerbel‘ in German or Chevril in English and are so delicate. I brought them home from our garden yesterday as they are seeding everywhere. A wonderful spice in all green sauces like‘ Frankfurter Soße‘. The taste has some licorice in it.
An early wake up. Will start being active right away . Gym, swim and TaiChi. Definitely need to work on my balance. Then some picking up at home, some writing and maybe the writers group in the afternoon. I don’t have much to say or to share but it is fun to listen to the others.
Don recovered quite nicely from his confusion spell last Friday and is seemingly back to where he was before. Reading (slowly) in the morning with breakfast. And an overall very sweet companion.
One extra with Don in background and one with the first lilies of the valley. They were transplanted from our other lot before the sale, are not abundant yet but I am happy that the plant survived the move. So many plants have a history now, brought from other gardens or given to me by people who are now long gone….
