Rhydy Station
A late afternoon walk with the dogs. Was supposed to be a run in the ball field but several sheep and numerous lambs have broken in from the adjacent farmland so it was a no go area today. The field alongside the station however, which is a farm field with public footpath, was sheep free, so the dogs had a run there instead. We finished with a few minutes in the station grounds where the garden is looking colourful already after our mostly settle weather of late. May blossom around the boundaries added to the show and then we were surprised by a passing train .... well Meg was surprised and barked noisily at it!
I had started the day slowly, feeling a less than 100% well. The dogs had a late morning walk to the seafront when the sun broke through but otherwise I took it gently at home. A bit of cleaning, a load of laundry and an afternoon on the sofa fettling pots and watching the racing. Thirty three years ago on the Saturday after Easter, watching the racing was out of the question as I was getting married. Feeling just a little melancholy today.
