Parkrun

Tony was Run Director today at Parkrun.  We were expecting lower numbers because of the London and Manchester marathons tomorrow and it was also the Three Peaks Race today but actual numbers were up at 184 with quite a few new folks.

I had asked to marshal at the Cenotaph as it has a convenient bench for supporting passing runners and walkers, and it was handy for blipping folks.  My blip is of M, one of our regulars and, I'm sure she won't mind me saying, one of our oldest park runners.  She is in the 85/89 age category and turns out every week to walk and then take the tokens home to sort after the event.  She will only miss a week if the weather is icy.  To date she has clocked up 324 park runs, 204 of them at Myrtle and she is always cheerful.
