Disjointed Day
OH was playing golf and I couldn't get booked into my normal gym class so had decided to do some sewing. Good friend M's son had recently had a baby (not him, but his wife but you get my drift?). I had started two quilts but as they had not found out the gender in advance - I did not know which colour to finish. However Beatrice Rose was born on Tuesday so it was the pink hearts which needed finishing. We had been talking about TV programmes and F said that she loved Handmaid's Tale and I remembered that I had not finished all the series. So I cranked up my sewing machine and Ipad and off I went. I decided to start from the beginning again as I could only remember bits ........... well, I am hooked!! OH is away next week for a few days so I might binge watch.
I was expecting Aimee's friend A for lunch as she wanted to go up to the Bluebell Woods. It was lovely to see her again and we had a few tears and a good catch up.
She left then I had a call scheduled with S from Scotland........made the call and enjoyed a cup of tea and catch up. Finished the call and started to sew again only to find the power was out!! Ffs. Fiddled around for a while then tried the fuse board and that did the trick.
I had taken some chicken out of the freezer to make dinner so stopped sewing again to make coq au vin. OH home late and mentioned seeing his Mother at the care home in the morning........we have P&P and S&H for lunch so I suggested (frostly) that there would be jobs to do!! He went for a quick visit this evening before dinner.
Knowing tomorrow would be a rush - I decided on a trip to Tescos for supplies (more supplies) while he was out ........home by 7.30 and late dinner - seemed like days when I was working. Still frosty and silence rained - so I watched another episode of Handmade, listening on my headphones.
Hopefully tomorrow will be less fraught and more friendly.
