Plaza de la Constitucion
Suitably slow start to the morning with a trip into town for a wander around the old town which culminated in a refreshment stop in a cafe bar next to this building - the town hall (Ayuntamiento de Almunecar). The first three flags are, from the left, Almunecar, Spain and Andalucia. When we are back there on Thursday for dinner I will have to look more closely at the fourth to see if I can identify it. The emblem from the Almunecar flag is also on the lamppost.
Was tempting to stay there for lunch but with the kids getting hot and the prospect of a cooling pool dip back at the casa the sensible decision was made. When I pointed this out, Carl (who hates to be the purveyor of sensible decisions) defence was that he was sensible then to be insensible later. Just in case that happens I thought it best to blip whilst all is quiet. Pretty much everyone is having a proper siesta on the promise of late night dinner and shenanigans on the beach so in true Spanish style it is almost 5pm and the second pool session is yet to begin.
