Valais Blackface

This beautiful sheep is one of five living on the edge of the village. This year, the original three have been shorn of their glorious, crinkle-curly fleeces; two newer arrivals still have theirs. I enjoyed an evening walk through the village, up over the hill and down through the bluebell wood. Opposite the sheep, the goats were poking their spotty faces through the holes in the gate.
