Ducks doze…

in the sunshine of another lovely day, although the snow still lying on the tops makes any breeze have an icy edge. The Ospreys and other nesting birds are quiet at the moment, eggs will have been laid or due imminently and it is just a question of keeping them warm and waiting. The Sandpipers  are still calling and haven’t nested yet. Violets, Wood Anemones and Wood Sorrel and Primroses carpet the ground.
