A day in the life

Skåne

My ”landscape”, as the different regions are called here. This is where I was born and I do have a certain feel for how it looks down here. My visit is coming to an end, this is my last day at my friends place, tomorrow I’m going to the city of Lund to see some more friends for a couple of days before going home on wednesday.
The foto could be from a tourist broshcure trying to ”sell in” the landscape of Skåne, but this is what it still looks like in the countryside, well away from the big cities.

I visited the village of my birthplace today, to look after my parents grave and to wander around the village. I passed my old house, where I grew up, it has been sold for the third time since I sold it after my parents died, and I was lucky to meet the previous owner, a woman in my own age who was thrilled to hear I was born in the house she just bought and asked me in to have a look at what it looks like now and to hear more about what it was like when I lived there. I was transported back in time quite a while and I was so greatful to be invited into my childhood, now the base for somebody elses dreams of a future. She said she loved the house and that made me very happy, since the old owner had neglected the keeping of the house, according to me. So nice to see and to meet her, an owner that I know will take care of it in a loving way.
