Maxton Church

The activity choice today was Parkrun (painful but finished in time for second breakfast), or a section of St Cuthberts Way (long but there may be a beer at the end).
I opted for the latter, not sure why! After driving to Melrose we ditched the car and bussed to Ancrum. With a slight detour through a garden centre we found our way on to the route. Starting along an old Roman road, then along the Tweed, through Maxton, St Boswells, Newton, up to Bowden, over the Eildons in to Melrose. Beautiful route, trees, blossoms, lambs, birds - all 25k.
By the time we got to Melrose we were too tired for a beer!
