In a Japanese garden

We visited the  Japanese garden near Dollar this afternoon. ( see extra).
 
Our interest in Japan began many years ago following a visit to see M's sister and husband who were employed there. See extra for the Golden Pavilion in Kyoto .
 
The Scottish Japanese garden was designed in 1908 by Taki Handa, a Japanese woman gardener whom the Scottish adventurer and owner of Cowden castle , Ella Christie brought over after meeting her in Japan.
Today, it is a popular tourist destination. The latest addition, a Sakura lodge holiday rental, will open this May.
