Last morning in Cley

All good things must come to an end, as they say, and today it was time to leave Cley and drive back to Holmfirth. Bags packed into the van, we checked out of the Harnser with hugs all round. Time for a last stroll around the village (extras), and we popped into the deli (for provisions for lunch), the gallery (where cards were purchased - an original painting by Peter Wileman is the stuff of lottery wins), the pottery (we now have two very nice bowls and a new candle holder), and the 2nd-hand book shop (only two books!).

It was mid-morning by then and, as planned,  we stopped not far from Cley for coffee at 'Natural Surroundings'. It's 'Norfolk's Wildflower Centre', and we also looked round the nursery and bought several plants to attract birds and insects to our garden.

The rest of the journey went smoothly, and on the way stopped briefly at Sleaford to stretch our legs. Back home by late afternoon.
