Someone told me it’s all happening at the zoo ....

I think Paul Simon got it wrong though. The giraffes are not insincere. I agree with daughter#2 - they are like supermodels the way they stroll along in single file like on a catwalk, stop to flutter their eyelashes and pose for a photo and then depart.

The elephants are not dumb either.

I had lots of images I could have posted. Just one more extra though of the playful polar bear.

I know a lot of people have mixed feelings about zoos but we liked this one, the animals mostly seemed happy and had lots of room and variety in their enclosures. Lots of good quality cafés and beer gardens too.

In the evening we returned to a restaurant we last visited in 2022, mainly so mrsfb could have some chicken. It was a huge place, lots of noisy heaving rooms like something you might find in a Kafka novel, but a super experience. I ordered the same meal I had 3 years ago by showing the waiter the photo from my blip. He recognised it immediately - Zwiebelrostbraten von der Rinderlende, mit Röstzwiebeln, Röstkartoffeln.

Not sure what the schedule is tomorrow. Daughter#1 is flying home in the evening so we may get to see them during the day somewhere.
