Running Rings Around Us
I've had a fun day today with SIL#1 and the two grandsons. I'm exhausted, 12k steps so far.
We've been to the Olympiapark. Built for the Olympic Games in 1972 it has a transparent, curved, tensile roof, and is still considered to be a masterpiece of modern architecture. It also has patterns so is suitable for Wide Wednesday.
Unfortunately the Olympiaturm 290m tower, in the extra, was closed, as was one of the play areas. Fortunately the beer garden and second play area were open. We also managed a round of mini crazy golf. I won!
Meanwhile mrsfb has spent all day at a mountain spa with her two girls. She's not back yet so isn't able to veto the second extra :-)
We took the U-Bahn to the park but came back into the city centre on a tram. After some strudel and ice creams we watched the Rathaus-Glockenspiel mechanical clock do its stuff at 5pm, before the boys returned to their hotel. I am waiting for the ladies to get back. We have a booking later at the pizza place near daughter#2's apartment. More steps are coming then.

Champions
I hope I'm able to say we are still in the Championship at the end of this season.
