A day in the life

Holey dog

Now that all my projects are suddenly over, from most of March until yesterday, I feel very tired all of a sudden. I only have one more thing before easter and that is the gig tomorrow for the elderly, that will be fun I think.

This morning I went to the annual dentist examination. New, youngish dentist who was really good and efficient. She had the habit that some do, to sing while she was working, in a humming sort of way, very quietly and absently but with words and everything. She had a radio on very quietly in the background but obviously she knew all the songs and lyrics without thinking about it and sang along in some phrases. This was quite tricky rap music with quick, rhythmic lines. She had excellent timing, pronunciation and a perfect ear, she even got the wailing notes exactly. Still, she was poking around among my teeth, giving incomprehensible technical instruction to the nurse, who was taking notes, at the same time as she was hum-singing along with the music. The only time I could hardly keep myself from laughing was when she was singing "love me harder, love me harder" with perfect wail and everything. I complemented her singing and her perfect musical ear and she sort of woke up and said she was only singing behind the face mask. First time I had a good time at the dentist. Luckily she didn't find any holes either.

After that experience I went for a quick walk and saw this cut-out. It's a dog walking area with a dog bath and everything so there are dog signs everywhere. The cut out itself is standing ten metres away, I like the idea.

Then, home to rehearse and put together the songs for tomorrow.
Tired now.
