I continued the bedroom cleaning. The only unexpected discovery was an Uno card under the bed. It didn’t take as long as I expected, but because the step stool and all the vacuum cleaner tools were upstairs I found a lot of things to clean in the other rooms (like curtains and light shades).

After lunch I walked along to Waterhead. The direct route takes me past the garden centre. If you read my blip a few days ago and want to know more read on.

I noticed new signs going up. They’re keeping the Hayes name but it’s been taken over by British Garden Centres. It’s closed today and staff were outside informing potential customers. From the mix of old and new signs it seems that the Four Seasons Cafe is remaining (I hope their coffee and scones don’t change) but there’s also a Gardener’s Retreat Restaurant (it will be interesting to see where). I’ll have a wander in after the Easter weekend.
