A showery morning. I made it to the shops without getting wet but wasn’t as lucky on the way home.

After popping a birthday card in the post box I walked around to Tesco for cream. On the way back I noticed the Ambleside Inn had received a parcel delivery . . . to their beer cellar! It had to be blipped.

Later I started on a thorough clean of the front bedroom, the one most used after mine. Trying to do it systematically, starting at the top with the layer of dust on the wardrobe. I could have done it all today but have left the vacuum cleaner in the middle of the floor ready to finish the job tomorrow. Pleased that a dark stain on the carpet has come off with two sprays of carpet cleaner.
