Butterfly bush

Since the flowers of earlier summer have met a sudden end in the recent hot spell, butterflies are now left with this lavender bush, a white buddleia and a few remaining flowers of the valerian. There seems to be a predominance of white butterflies this year so far in the garden. They hover around in droves, lifting like a cloud off the plants.
