My little citrus tree...
...is still alive! It's a miracle given I am the kiss of death to all indoor plants! And a few outdoor ones.
When friends sent me this little tree as a post-op gift I was delighted and dismayed in equal measure. Dismayed because I was sure it would perish despite my best efforts. Well I have done my best to treat it properly, even chatting to it as I spray its leaves and to my astonishment it is thriving! It's produced another fruit and is in flower. I've even had to prune it a little using the cute little secateurs that came with it. Hoping it continues to live! :-)
We had lunch out again today! This time at Blair Drummond Smiddy Farm Shop and Cafe. We met with Ruth Morrison Jeweller to discuss what she might be able to make from some of my mum's jewellery that I never wear. It was lovely to meet her at last as we've chatted a lot on-line. She's from the Isle of Harris so we had lovely conversations about my favourite island. I gave her an assortment of rings and some gold necklaces and she's sure she will be able to make at least a ring and a pendant necklace. She is going to sketch some designs and we can discuss things from there.
The lunch was absolutely delicious. D and I have only been there once before (a long time ago) but we will definitely be back soon. Had a lovely wander in the shop afterwards. Wonderfully fresh produce and home baking. We resisted the latter.
I was hoping I would capture my blip while we were out and about but as we drove home in the pouring rain I realised that was a forlorn hope as there was just wet grey rain.
Finalised the menu for Easter Sunday dinner and got my Tesco order done. Checked it three times to make sure I haven't over ordered anything! All good. I think ;-))
