Wow

W is for WOW for the view at the W lounge on the 11th floor in the new St James Quarter hotel W ( aka the golden turd)
Meeting with my favourite consultant ophthalmologist for a wee catch up so couldn’t take my usual time out for a proper blip. Drinks then the best sushi I have ever had on the 10th floor at Sushisamba. We were greedy and the dishes just kept coming for the next three hours as did the conversation. He has become my surgeon of choice for referrals so this was a thankyou although I should be thanking him for transforming the lives of so many of my patients. Unfortunately private eye surgery has become big business in Edinburgh and not all the surgeons are as altruistic when big bucks are on offer. Thankfully this guy remains humble with not a Porsche in sight.
A lovely evening and must come back again soon ( though second mortgage may be required)
