Chepstow

We enjoyed an interesting couple of hours in the forest (of Dean) with plenty of bird life, deer, wild boar and squirrels with Olympic gold medal hopes.
A lovely tree lined route to Chepstow where Dippy and I shared a beef slice and sausage roll on a garage forecourt.
We then spent four hours exploring the fascinating old town with its unique charm interesting architecture and generally good inhabitants. Not so many vacant premises and most shops and offices seemed buoyant.
A light shower soon transformed into a heavy downpour welcomed by most of nature’s inhabitants.
As darkness fell we were able to find an inn for the night and enjoyed a “ marmalade session” at the New Inn, Dippy being the centre of attention in a packed out room.
Zzzzzz
