Pond Grasses

You’ve guessed it, another packed day. A very wet morning which filled the butts and the pond. Once the rain had stopped walk into town occupied the rest of morning.

Much negotiation about various issues resulted in successful outcomes. The best was servicing the Kia electric car. Kia wanted to £440 plus £45 for MOT. A search on the web found that Kwik Fit did the same service for £191 plus £55 for MOT. And it was to manufacturers specs and it kept the warrantee valid.

I went to the allotment, sowed some seeds, did a bit of weeding. I’m rather behind with sowing this year. We’ll catch up… and the rain will help.

I rounded off the day with a run, which was understandably harder than last week. It was the survival shuffle at the end.

Barbara and David arrived from Edinburgh this evening so we can now get on with getting Doreen’s house in the next few days.

Those of you who remarked on the fate of the lesser celandines mentioned yesterday will be relived to know they were not scalped by the lurking gang mowers
