A carpet of lesser celandines

For how much longer? Lurking nearby was a gang mower which looked as if it was about to be used to scalp the lit. We’ll report back.

A regulation busy day. Had the first of the estate agents to come and value both houses. We’ll reserve judgement until we’ve heard from the other two later in the week. Plenty of minor jobs to do and irritations to deal with.

Chris told us that there had been a magnitude 6 earthquake some 65km east of where he lives. The house shook for 20 seconds. All the earthquake procedures were followed at school so the grandchildren are safe: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cvg9ndjvjl9o.amp

The epicentre was near Cuyanmaca Peak where we were hiking three weeks ago: https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/3351407390783179281 When I’m visiting the possibility of earthquakes is always at the back of my mind.

At least we had an entertaining evening listening to Feast of Fiddles - on their annual tour which we’ve been going to see for some 20 years or more. A wonderful evening of music and musicianship.

It’s raining!
