Spring Flowers

A day not as planned, except for a blood test first thing at the surgery. I asked the nurse if I was doing the right thing re my nail in keeping it covered with a plaster, she said it was as that type of damage is prone to getting infected and needing antibiotics. It's feeling ok, thanks for your good wishes. I was due to volunteer at the charity shop for the first time today (not on the till), but they had workmen in so it was postponed to next week. So after doing some shopping in town, I was contemplating tackling the ironing, when I had a text from G suggesting a walk this afternoon. Needless to say, we went for a walk. We went over to Letheringsett to see how the mill was progressing in getting up and running after being flooded, the flowers were all in the village. They've just started milling flour again and the cafe will re-open at the beginning of May, which is good news. Also the Environment Agency has accepted they are responsible for work on the river including de-silting it, although that's part of a 10 year plan. G treated me to a cuppa at Bakers in town. It rained heavily this morning (11mm) and was very humid when we walked, which meant my osteoarthritis was playing up badly this afternoon.
