Break The Rules

I should have known better than to have tempted fate by mentioning the “rain” word yesterday. No downpours yet, but it’s been grey, cold and windy today with many intermittent showers.
It has meant that I’ve been able to get a lot of little jobs done today. Nothing earth shattering, but quite a few “loose ends” dealt with.
The evening has been spent in Lytham. A leisurely drive over followed by an equally leisurely pub tea. I ordered a “small” gammon and chips but received the large version! Seemed churlish to complain. Then it was off to Lowther Pavilion to see Francis Rossi on his “Status Quo Songbook and more” tour. We saw him in Lancaster a couple of years ago doing something quite similar - “Tunes and Chat” - but tonight there was a lot less chat and a lot more tunes!
A good run through the Quo songbook, mainly the well known ones but also some more obscure numbers. A bit of chat in between and an all round entertaining evening. There was a strict ban on taking photographs or videos, but when a song contains the lyrics “everybody has to sometimes break the rules” it was almost like they were daring me to take a sneaky shot…
