Spring Surprise
When I got up this morning, these beautiful amaryllis blooms greeted me. I left the bulb in the dark basement this winter. My sister recommended I move it to the warm dining room. In no time, it started to grow. Very pleased. Our plan of the day was to work outside. Hubby aerated the lawn. I worked on the garden by the driveway. The garden looks much better but I have more to do. The perennials are sprouting everywhere. My sister and our BIL stopped by. He saw his doc today. He added bronchitis to the other sinusitis diagnosis. Our BIL got more meds including an inhaler. He sounds awful but thankfully he does not have pneumonia or other serious illness. My sister is still under the weather as well. Her doc is on vacation. She will go to urgent care if she is not better by tomorrow (giving the antibiotics she got in WV a chance to kick in). I gave her one of the elevated pillows the kids got me for Christmas. That should help her breathe easier. She cut out the material so I can make the last two ornaments. We hope to take them to my children’ uncle and cousins this week when we visit our mother. Kim is going to show me how to feed their axolotl while they are vacationing in the Outer Banks later this week. Thankfully, Mancil will not be going so he can help me. Look them up; weird creature. We are going to River’s t-ball game when we leave Kim’s. At least it is warmer this evening. Wishing you an adventurous evening. Stay safe. Thanks for dropping by. “Spring drew on…and a greenness grew over those brown beds, which, freshening daily, suggested the thought that Hope traversed them at night, and left each morning brighter traces of her steps.” – Charlotte Brontë
