The Face (and how to stuff it)
Lovely day out. We went to the National Portrait Gallery for an exhibition of 45 years of The Face magazine which produced some iconic images particularly in the 80s and 90s. I got a feeling that a lot of people there where from my generation and were part of the scene that it represented (hence my choice of shot for the blip). Do check it out if you are within striking distance of London, it’s a classic exhibition and only on for another month or so.
We had a meandering walk from Charing Cross Road up to Paddington, taking in a pub and a bookshop. We were booked into The Hyde at the Roseat for vegan afternoon tea - Prosecco, tea, sandwiches, scones and cakes (see extra). Delicious and indulgent. This was a gift from some friends who gave it to us last year for our 30th anniversary and we have only just gotten round to it (our next anniversary is in two days time!). A brilliant present and big thanks to them.
19,000 steps and a great day.
