No shrinking violets

I am amazed that this small violet plant is thriving because it has grown out of the top wall of the old ruin in our orchard area. I suppose its tiny roots must reach down into some soil deep in the wall.
We had a trip over the hill to Tobermory in the evening to meet up with several cousins who are on holiday for a week. We only manage to meet up a couple of times in a year but it’s always great fun and chat when we do.
