Peekaboo

My first swallowtail of the season. Go large to see it waving at me.

It was damp and overcast this morning, and the forecast was for rain on and off during the day. Not surprisingly, no takers for the walk -- I took advantage of a brief sunny interval and went for a quick walk on my own.  Listened to a podcast and blipped this. It hasn't actually rained since this morning, but it's looking threatening again now.

Extra: very blurry picture of a kestrel taken with the big lens at full length. So hard to handle because of the weight and the fact that you only get a two-second window of opportunity and need to get focus right away -- it flew away after this one shot.
