Happy birthday to K

It’s my son’s gf birthday today , she’s 28!
She’s DM in a very old pub just by Hammersmith Bridge so it being the boat race today they were expecting a lot of trade so she worked til 4 bless her. Fortunately the prediction was correct and they were heaving :) she ran the outside drinks tap.
I met my sons and my son’s boss’s dog who was adorable ( he’s dog sitting her for a couple of weeks)
We made our way to the river and watched all the races- excellent Cambridge victories- then headed to the pub and after K finished to a restaurant for a meal. Her sister is also here from uni so it was a nice family affair.
Then back to the flat for presents and cake before my older son and I drove home- he has work tomorrow, starting at 6am :(
A lovely day ( great day for Norn iron as Rory wins the Masters too)! Great to celebrate K: she really is a fantastic addition to the family !
