Titania
Made the most of my day off and went for a short run first thing. Beautiful morning.
Got changed and had breakfast and then we headed off for Grey's Court where S volunteers fur the National Trust. It was the first time we'd had 3 people in the new car. It was fine in the back with a similarly small person in front of me.
Went round the gardens and immediately bumped into a friend and her husband that I probably haven't seen for a couple of years. S and C went on and I had to catch up with them after a long chat. Gardens were looking lovely with tulips, pansies and lots of blossom. We spotted a blue tit going in and out of a hole in one of the old walls. Stopped for a coffee and simnel scone in the sunshine.
Visited the house and S showed us all the things he's dusted, cleaned and polished. The picture is part of the costume that the owner wore 100 years ago in a production of midsummer night's dream. https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/visit/oxfordshire-buckinghamshire-berkshire/greys-court/events/ad29e5a4-0eba-41e1-9753-aa88e0908d11
Went on to Henley afterwards and had a pootle along the river and bought meal deal sandwiches to eat in the sunshine.
Book group later and a good discussion of Border Crossing by Pat Barker.
